Guest guest
From 's CB site-posted by her sister Ashlee Mom and have been moved to a private room, the only one available is a VIP suite. The number is . They say it is like nothing they have seen before. Dr. Cohen told that the bone marrow is being eaten/destroyed due to her low weight that her body is somewhat attacking itself to get the nutrition it needs. She is really upset. They are moving her to a private room today. Hopefully that will help somewhat. She is really upset that she can't come home. Dr. Cohen told her that her intestines are too damaged to digest food and said she can't eat food anymore. She has to consume Ensure/Boost 5 cans daily if she can do that and gain weight she can come home, but if she can't drink the cans by 4 p.m. tom. then they will insert a feeding tube. She really doesn't want to do that. She was told today that if they sent her home and she had 2 more bad days then she would die. We need a lot of prayers, not only but our whole family. Guest guest
Please know that is in my prayers tonight. I know when you aren't prepared to stay overnight in a hospital it can be overwhelming. I'm sure Allsion feels also because she is not in charge of this it frustrates her. She always is so knowledable about her disease and what is going on. Tell her to listen to everyone; especially the good doctor Cohen. Take care. Guest guest
She is in her early 20's. Maybe 22 at the oldest. She is very knowledgeable about her disease so this is probably extremely rough on her. Her symptoms started in her junior or senior year of high school. She has been home ridden ever since then. Her energy level is nearly zero. A day at the doctors wipes her out for a couple of days. She is one of the most caring people you would ever meet. I think I just gave you a little more than you wanted. LOL. Guest guest
*Note: I will call today and let you know how she is doing. I spoke to 's mom last night, who said that was resting. She was trying to hard to meet her goal of 5 cans before 4pm today. Her last can did not set well with her, so she was being very still. Please continue to pray for and her family. Guest guest
AWESOME!!! I am so happy to hear this news! I want to call her but I don't know how many people are calling her and how much she can tolerate. Do you have any information on this? Guest guest
Hi Shirley- I asked to speak to last night, but her mom said she wasn't up to it. So today when I called, I spoke to her mom again without asking to speak to . I have a feeling that she needs all the restshe can get. My phone conversation was extremely quick, about 2 mins max. I do not know how many people are calling, but can imagine there are quite a few.... I am glad though that she was able to meet your goal and hope that she has continued success/gain weight too.
