Guest guest
Ruth, What a marvelous landmark --there are survivors, and you are ONE!!!! Awesome! Family Thanksgiving traditions are so excellant, and loving. I know that it is hard to give up the reins, and yet it can have some rewards. It's only been a couple of years that we've had a home big enough to host anything-- and I do wish that it could be here. My Mom wants it at her place tho, so we will do that. I did find out last year that my oven won't hold even a 12lb turkey, so I'd be ferrying it to and from their home anyway! LOL! I'm not sure if any of 's family is doing anything at his sisters. I'm not on the list right now, so unless I call, we'll probably not hear from anyone. It'll be a good day for playing Scrabble and Aggravation- and watching some football- so that will be nice. Maybe I can get my Dad to make Lefsa! Love to all, Tracie
Guest guest
Thanks Tracie..I am not sure why I have survived so much but as long as I am here I think there must be something for me to teach. I have been compiling a list of 25 things I would have missed if I'd missed the breast lump. It's been interesting. I have a stove from the early 1960's that I won't part with but it has a very small oven..however I can get a turkey in it..just no side dishes at the same time. My home is very tiny...I can't imagine how we got so many people into this home when I was a child. We just sit everywhere..the prize spot for years was the steps next to the food! I often wish I had a bigger place but then I'd just have to clean it so maybe this isn't so bad after all. I am feeling better today.. I haven't been this ill with something like this in many year. Must admit I have been just plain scared! It was great to hear from Kim and that she will have her family here with her to support her. Will continue to pray for her as I do everyone. Take care to all... TTFN Ruth > > Ruth, > What a marvelous landmark --there are survivors, and you are ONE!!!! > Awesome! > > Family Thanksgiving traditions are so excellant, and loving.
