Nuts-can't I just wash them off?

I've been on this diet for only about a month, and I bought some cooked cashews before I knew I'd be on this diet. I know that I've read that cooked nuts could be coated with a wheat mix. However, can't I just put them in a colander and wash the wheat mix off and then eat them? I don't want to waste them.

Uh... I tried that in my early days. Trust me: you do NOT want to know

the results. They'd make a great Christmas or Hanukkah gift for a

friend....

I've made all kinds of mistakes buying illegal food. Here is what I did with

it.

When the boy scouts came to the door for a food drive- I had something to give

them.

I made a pineapple salad for my kid's teacher for teacher appreciation day with

some pineapple that I thought was legal but it's not.

and so on.. I hate to waste food too. But someone will appreciate those nuts

You make a good point, and I cannot "reason" this one away or make excuses. I can either take them to a neighbor or to work. I'm going to miss them :-(
