Amy,

I just wanted to tell you that I hope you and your family have a

great Thanksgiving, also. I am certainly thankful for being able to

read posts by others with RSS children, too. I am also thankful for

, who has been gaining one ounce a day for two weeks straight

now! WOW! There for a while he was only gaining one ounce a WEEK!

So, I have a lot to be thankful for and I just thought it was very

nice of you to wish everyone here a Happy Thanksgiving. I wanted to

return it to you! :o) I also wish the others here a Happy

Thanksgiving.

Have a good one,

Jodi Rollison

I hope you all have a wonderful day. I am down at my sister's, so that will save me from too many leftovers!

It's odd, post surgery. Thanksgiving is so much about food and gluttony in some ways, that we lose sight of what it is really all about. OK, not the part about the pilgrims inviting over the Indians and then massacring them after dinner. But about gratitude. For all of the things in our lives: each other. The support we give to one another (and that we receive from one another). The surgery. The new lease on life. Mother Kaiser, who although she is a bit obstinate at times...takes good care of us, and does it for pennies. Our families and friends who have loved and supported us during this journey. The beautiful weather. The bounty we have in this country.

There are a lot of things to worry about and pray about. Lots of tough stuff going on in this world right now. But for now, for today...I give thanks for all of the abundant blessings in my life...and I count you all among them.

Big hugs,

Today is a wonderful day-- a day to let all of you know that each of you have touched my life in a special way. Even though we've not seen each other face to face-- we become family through our journey with autoimmune disease.

This is not a journey I'd wish on anyone-- and yet we are here. This is our path.

Some of us are still very able to function in the work world, and carry on in a normal fashion. Others of us have seen our health change to a place where we can no longer work. Some of us have become wheelchair bound.

One thing we have in common is that our life has brought us here. We can love and support each other, educate each other, and hold each other in the challenges of our day.

It is so wonderful that we share not only our challenges, but our joys at weddings, at the birth of children and grandchildren, at the sound of laughter at the dinner table as we celebrate Thanksgiving tonight.

I wish for each of us to see the beauty of fall, the serenity of a winter snow, and the love sent your way.

Thank you all for sharing your journey with me. I am indeed Blessed by knowing all of you,

Tracie
