cooling vest question

Grace got her "in the meantime" cooling vest on Tuesday, horray! I do have a couple of questions regarding it, for anyone with any experience with these. She recieved the infant vest that is pictured on the Moody Website. They have recently switched to custom made ones from Heat Releif Depot, and those are not yet up on the website. Anyways, can you just keep the packs in the freezer, or does this harm them over time? Also we had her outside yesterday trying it out, I am so glad to finally be able to go outside. Granted it was 86 degrees and very humid, but she still got very red and sweaty, even changing the packs before they needed it. It was nothing like the heat stroke, last week, but it still worried me. Is it normal for them to still get hot? She did cool down after a few hours in the AC and continuing to wear the vest (she fell asleep with exhaustion from being a kid for once), but I don't think she would do well if we kept her outside all day. Has anyone had problems with the vest not cooling enough? We are also still awaiting the hat, wristbands, and neck band so hopefully with all of that she will be covered for longer periods outside. Also the person from Moody said the new vests are better, but it will be at least 6 weeks before that one arrives. I thought about calling Moody back, but I don't want to seem ungreatful. I am so impressed with them and MDA for getting her help so quickly. Thaks for any advice.

I have kept my daughters in both the freezer and fridge for 7 years with no

extra wear and tear either way. also if u are finding that these are not

enough there are other cool products out there. they even have a cool seat

for wheel chairs. Good luck
