Guest guest
Pam, Yeah, I know people have addiction issues. I do too. I was put on diet pills at age 11...and had to kick the habit cold turkey when I was 13. In the past 3 years I've seen various ways to cheat to lose the 10%; I've seen people swapping tips on how to scam the system; and just when I think I've seen it all, someone comes up with a new scheme. We're not just sad, hurting, and mistreated fat people. Some of us are also con artists--it goes with addiction. But sometimes support means giving someone a kick in the rear end. So sometimes as a recovering fat person I feel it is my duty to say " cut the crap " . After I do there are usually plenty of sensitive gals who will apologize for my nastiness and say nice, codependent, placating things...so she can relax, categorize me as a big meanie, and go on doing the same thing again. Please understand--I like you a lot, and appreciate your posts. I hear what you're saying to me. But in this case I'm on a mission, and sarcasm is part of it. If my posts offend the rules of this uncensored list, I expect to be warned so I can reconsider and make amends. For the rest of you, there's always the Delete key. With love and mega-doses of irony Martha > Martha, I know that you thought that your email would > be a funny one and that you were trying to be funny > but I personally did not find your email funny at all. > I know that you are post op and that you realize that > a lot of people post op have issues of one sort or > another whether they have turned to alcohol or drugs > or just the addiction to food and that we can't make > light of additions here. > > Pam Marsh
Guest guest
Hey Martha, I hear what you are saying and all that is good. I really don't think that you will be censored or anything like. I just found it odd to see a post like that. I was not offended just thought I would chime in as I am sure others will or maybe they will choose not to. I wish you luck on your mission.
