Guest guest
I'm home. Dr. Cohen came in yesterday morning(Thurs) and released me. I'm on strictly a Boost plus diet of 5 cans daily. If I'm able to keep up with this regiment I won't have to get the NJ tube. Dr. Cohen isn't concerned at all about how much I weigh just that I'm nutritionally healthy. He said there are mito patients who are below the threshold and they wither and die and so he is trying to get me back above that threshold where I could do better again. I'm just taking it one day at a time. Dr. Cohen really wants me at the UMDF Conference so thats my focus right now. I've got 2 wks to get some strength. We had to wait until mid. afternoon to get a flight home as the Ped's resident didn't come to sign the orders and write my scripts. I'm having alot of pain and just in general really lethargic and worn out from everything. I can't express how much your prayers, cards, phone calls, thoughts and gifts meant to me. I couldn't have done it without all of your support.

Guest guest
, I am so glad to hear you are home, maintaining yourself. I hope your stay was a beneficial one and you can gain much more strength. I was sorry I missed you, I knew you had posted stating you would probally be admitted on Tues. or Wed. Grace was on M33 from Monday to Wed. I was going to try to email you with Gracies last name or room number (if I had it) before we left for the hospital, but everything got put into high gear and I was unable. We were unable to get to Dr.Cohen personally this time, but I finally got to meet Dr. Freidman, who is very nice (but unaware of Gracies problems.) Glad you are home. ,Mommy to (9), (7), Bre-Anne (6), Grace (2) and our newest arrival is due Sept. 20thFor the latest baby info, and to see our family check out:www.BabyCountDown.com?baby=4007
Guest guest
! I was on M35. My mom pushed me right past M33 multiple times a day going to the family lounge. We actually borrowed the iron from M33 so mom could iron some clothes after she did laundry. We weren't planning on staying near as long as we had to so we had to make do. Wish we could have met. Dr. Friedman was seeing me as well. I was so relieved to actually see Dr. Cohen over the weekend and the remainder of my stay. Dr. Friedman just doesn't know me or my situation. Hope Gracie is doing better now. Guest guest
, It would have been great to meet. I have seen your picture, so I don't think I saw you at all around M33. When we are there, though, we are usually sitting at the fishtank. Gracie loves to sit there and watch the fish. Actually, my husband hired the same company to come imitate there tank in ours, but with freshwater fish. He was hoping that if she had a similar tank at home maybe she would not want to be there so much. We honestly knew it would not work, but now our whole family has a pretty nice looking fishtank. Hope your feeling better, and can get some good rest not in the hospital. I am sure you are relieved to be out of there. ,Mommy to (9), (7), Bre-Anne (6), Grace (2) and our newest arrival is due Sept. 20thFor the latest baby info, and to see our family check out:www.BabyCountDown.com?baby=4007
Guest guest
I'm glad to hear you are home. Just keep sipping your boost all day long and you will achieve your goal of going to the conference.
