Guest guest
I posted awhile back about having chronic diarrhea for about a week (it's been 10 days now). I finally went and saw a doc at Kaiser on Sunday. He wasn't very helpful. Said it was probably a virus, but we'd do stool samples to make sure and to just stay hydrated by drinking lots of liquids, like sprite and 7-up (I laughed) and that I needed to eat the BRAT diet. When I explained to him I don't eat bananas, rice, applesauce, or toast he was quite perplexed. He didn't understand why I couldn't eat those. He professed to having knowledge of gastric bypass and that I should be able to eat anything that I want. When I told him that I'm only 4 months post-op and only pretty much eat protein which a vegie, fruit, or maybe a cracker or two thrown in here and there, he said " well, I guess just do the best you can. " Anyway, 10 days I've had this and I'm sure I'm quite dehydrated. I just can't seem to drink enough water. On top of all of this, I started my new graveyard job on the 26th of September. I've been sick the entire time. Everything hurts my stomach so trying to figure out what to eat at night and drink is difficult. I just can't eat another cheese stick! I'm all out of whack. Help! Any suggestions?!? Tina Dr. Baggs 5/24/05 Orientation: 330 Surgery: 294 Stuck at: 222 (for 2 weeks now) -108 overall
