Hello All,

I have some questions about the new bottled water that

are out now. Reebok has new bottled water come in

flavors like citrus, berry and natural (whatever that

is) with 1 gram of sugar and Vitamin B6, B12, chromium

and I cant remember the other vitamins and mineral in

it. Glaceau also has this new Fruit water in honey

dew, raspberry lime and watermellon with no sugars.

Are these drinks good for hydration after surgery?

Thanks for the input.

Sure.

Just about any liquid that is low in acid (citrus juices are a no-no

at first) and is not overloaded with sugar. I wouldn't worry about

the 1 gram. The important thing is that you drink, and drink, and .

.. .

It isnt the throwing up, It is the fact that you cant get a lot of

fluid into a tiny tummy. I have finally been able to drink a 16 oz

glass. It does take me 1/2 hour to get it down. I am 5 weeks out now.

Joann-

I DID throw up a lot.. But the reason that many get dehydrated is that

with the tiny tummy, its hard to get VOLUME in.. we need 1.5-2 liters

of water a DAY.. and can only take tiny swallows every so often. If

you aren't diligent, you dry up.. and that makes it hard on your

kidneys, your liver, your heart.. so anything that makes sipping more

attractive.. we pay attention to it!

Hope that helped-

Hugs,
