I use Freeda vitamins for my multi vitamin. Also Freeda for Calcium, but it is important to get a Calcium that is not calcium carbonate. Carbonate does not aid the calcium in absorption.ok, i love this diet, i am super healthy, its been over three years ( 4 in april) since I started, and I am now ready for more vitamins.Does anyone have suggestions for...1. a great multivitamin ( I think trader joes without iron is legal?!)2. the best cod liver oil3. anyone experiment with legal green juices? cabbage? 4. calcium/magnesium supplimentI really appreciate your suggestions! i am making adjustments for the new year for increased energy, a more alkaline body, and even greater health!happy holidays!dana =

There's something to beware of with cod liver oil. Apparently it's

standard operating procedure now for the companies producing it to remove

the natural vitamins A & D to sell separately. Then they add back in

synthetic! Ouch! I've read that Blue Ice brand is the only one that

is still CLO in the natural form. There are a lot of flavors but still an

unflavored one, too. I haven't tried it yet so I haven't a personal

report. But I've read this in several of my more alternative

natural medical newsletters.

I don't understand why they don't just sell cod liver. It seems like that would be healthier and maybe cheaper, but I cannot find it anywhere. Of course, I'd rather buy something like that from some place like Whole Foods.

When I had sent an email to Freeda asking if its ok to take vitamins since I am

a newbie to SCD and suggestions, they asked me to first consult my physician.

Why??

Its just like when shows say consult your doctor before starting an exercise routine. They do not legally want to be held responsible if something goes wrong. When I had sent an email to Freeda asking if its ok to take vitamins since I am a newbie to SCD and suggestions, they asked me to first consult my physician. Check out the Weston A Price web site for the brands they

recommend.
