Guest guest
Well, I got home Wednesday but couldnt get on the computer. My surgery,,, it's always my luck is the way I see it. My day got moved to Monday, back to Wednesday and then finally back to Monday. I go to check in on Monday and they say my surgery is not scheduled until Wednesday. I had papers that dr. Dennen filled out and they had to call him at home and confirm. Okay they say surgery is today. I go and get checked in, get to the surgery center adn get ready. They tell my parents do to having the gallbladder removed that I should be done around noon. I walk into the O/R and it is crazy busy but everyone seemed nice. I wake up around 3:30 and they tell me that I had to have open also. My surgery lasted almost 6 hours. What happened::: Apparently the Anestistiologist (sp) put two tubes down my throat. Dr. Dennen was about 90% done with the surgery and was stapling my new pouch together he felt something weird while trying to staple. He tried to staple again felt something weird took a look and saw tubing cut and he did not think he could get it out laparoscopically. He then opened me up to make sure verything was safe and removed. So basically I am a open/lap patient. It hurt I was miserable when I got out feeling like why did I do this to my self. I am now day 4 feeling a lil bit better. The food is going down jello, pudding, soup not much but some. I am sleeping in a recliner entirely to hard to get up from my bed. My back is hurting and my open wound is sore. I do have one question. When ever I drink something and it is very slow sips I feel it go all the way down but when it gets down to the bottom right ( my right) of my stomach it kinda cramps me up? Anyone else feel this? Thanks for! all the well wishes and wondering about me. I am tired, I am walking, and I am sipping so hopefully it only gets better.
