Guest guest
I'm still here! Hanging in there. I've had diarrhea for 12 days and after seeing a doc at Point West on Sunday, putting a call in to Dr. Baggs (who wanted to know if I was still drinking protein drinks) and talking to my PCP yesterday, I went to the emergency room and they took blood to check my electrolytes, etc. and gave me 2 bags of fluid. I wish they would of given me more...even after 2 bags I didn't even have to go to the bathroom (that's how dehydrated I was/is). Considering I haven't eaten diddly squat for the past 2 weeks, you'd think I would at least have some awesome weight loss...NOT THE CASE. I haven't lost a pound in the last 2 weeks. I feel like hell, look like hell, and am hating my new job. I'm feeling a little down in the dumps right now. I'm sure as I feel better, all will seem better. I read your email about how you feel about your body and I hear ya sister! I look at myself in the mirror and see these saggy breasts, saggy thighs, and jiggly upper arms and wonder if there is even a possibility that my body will return to a less freakish place after it's had a chance to get use to the weight loss (I sure hope so). I have to say that I'm happy to be happily married and not having to think about showing my body to someone I haven't known for 20 years. BUT...from everthing that you told us about , he's totally into you (the whole package) and my bet is that he doesn't even notice any of the things that you mention about your body (we are harder on ourselves than anyone else could ever be). I know it's got to be scary though...just take that leap of faith! He loves you for you! Once you get all of your weight off and start feeling more " normal " , you can work out on the weights and get that muscle tone back and your skin will recover some (so my sister who is 3 years out says). Give it 6-12 months at your goal weight faithfully working out before you consider plastics. I'm going back to bed AGAIN! I'm so sick of having this crap (literally)! LOL! Guest guest
Hi Tina, Hope this finds you doing well. How are things going for you?? I've been doing pretty good although the weight is comming off very slowly up and down of course I do weigh daily so thats part of that problem. So far I'm down between 97-99 lbs that is overall. I've lost 47-49 since surg. I'm in the smallest size clothes I have ever been in since maybe Jr High. I'm loving life. I have about 32 lbs to lose toget to the goal weight 136. I go to Fremont on the 18th for my 6 month follow up appt. Kaiser does not consider my surg a success until I get to 161 I'm not there quite yet but since I'm between 167-169 I am pretty close. My life has changed so much because of this surg my family is so much happier along with myself. We can just do so much more for EVERYONE.. I still vomit about once or twice a week for strange reasons but thats part of our journey. I have not and refuse to try anything with sugar like cookies, cakes ect unless they are sugar free. I do not want to no if I dump on sugar or not I just want to assume I do that way I won't have to worry about going back to bad habbits as much. Well enough rambling. Thanks for asking.. Guest guest
Your doing great. I'm am 7 months post op and I refuse to touch anything with sugar and I feel great about that. It makes me not want it because I don't want to get sick and if I found out I could eat it, then you would sometimes and I don't want that. Keep up the good work.
