My treating doctor would like me to be evaluated by a neurosarcoidosis doctor at s Hopkins.. When I attended a chat a few weeks ago, people at the chat said that they had seen doctors at s Hopkins and were pleased with the doctor's they had seen. My doc said to find out the the name of the doctors that others had seen there and were pleased with the service they gave to you the patient. If possible could you copy the info to my e-mail address in case I need to ask any questions. I need the info by my next appointment on Dec 26th, Your help is really appreciated. Judy in PA

Judy,I see a doctor in the Sarcoidosis Clinic which is a part of the asthma/allergy (pulmonology) center on Bayview Circle in Baltimore, MD. There are many great doctors there. You can google s Hopkins and get a specific address and phone number for making an appt (I don't have the info with me right now). I know there are doctors in other areas at JH that also are good with sarc (my rheum here in Florida told me). Good luck to you. Blessings,Beckyrjbasso wrote: My treating doctor would

Hi, The number I have for the sarcoid clinic is and also . The second number may be a fax number, I'm not sure. I saw a Dr. R.Moeller there. I believe he's the head sarcoid doctor there and was very nice and very thorough. Told me to come back if I needed to. I have been supposed to make an appointment since the spring (last year) cause my neurologist wants me to go, but I haven't. Can't say why exactly, just feel like what difference will it make in my life right now, y'know?? I'm functioning. Wishing you the best. Bonnie B

Thanks so much Bonnie, When you went to the sarcoid clinic did they put you on any of the new wonder drugs as I call them. I read peoples post with great interest. I began waking up with pretty severe spinal pain for a few weeks now. My hands are terribly arthritic from the sarcoid. I also developed MRSA after each of my total knees. First one only nneded one round of 6 weeks of vancomycin. The other knee required 20 surgeries in two and one half years to get it under control. I just went to a hematologist because of the bone marrow damage from all the drugs for the MRSA. My hemoglobin was dropping each week. It was down to 8, normal is 12 to 14.. She has me on a weekly IV of Procrit and Iron. Had my first treatment on wednesday of this week. On thursday I found out that I have severe cataracts. They had the Head of the

practice and she agreed that I needed to be in better shape to have the surgery. My regular person that I see in their practice told me that they could no longer give me an eye glass prescrption, can nolonger read anything in regular print. But the head of the office gave me a pair of funny looking glasses, they put in the type of lenses that they think will help you. and guess what I could read. She said to come back in a year for a recheck. My husband also had cataracts, she will remove them in January on two consecutive fridays. Anyone have any comments about cataract surgery and helpful hints for aftercare. Again. Thanks for the Info. Judy in PA
