Post-op absorption of carbohydrates and other nutrients

Hello all,

When I was first researching this surgery, I read a breakdown of the

rates at which the various nutrients are absorbed after the BPD/DS.

As I recall, the rates quoted were: fats, 20-25%; proteins and

complex carbohydrates, about 40%; simple sugars, 100%.

Now, I can't find any citable statistics on the Web; all I can find

are inexact references to incomplete absorption. Does anyone know

where I can find such a table? Thanks.
