Guest guest
Okay, so I have a working diagnosis of unspecified mito for my two year old daughter, but am trying to learn more about her metabolism and how it is working. Am in way over my head, many of you sound so knoweledgable that I thought I would throw this out there and see if you could explain anything further or what it means. I am also trying to tell if these specific findings lean toward one type of mito or another ( I know, but I am a Mom, I just cant help my impatience with this..) I don't even know what these chemicals do in the digestive process but am trying to learn. Don't hesitate to offer me the best of your knowledge and I have no concern if some of the help makes the situation seem a little worse, as I am pretty strong and at this point prepared for anything. The final summary of results are as follows; The combination of the 2-ketogluterate and gluterate on the organiz acid profile, the high fraction of acylcarnitines in the urine, the dicarboxylic acid carnitine esters in the blood and urine, and the mild acidosis seen on the complete metabolic panel are suggestive of.... am also looking for clues on her diet and what isnt working. Second question: what can I buy to check her sugar when she wakes up screaming in the night to see if she is hypoglycemic? She is two so am looking for the least invasive option, and where I can purchase it. Also, what result would I look for in the high/low range Have a very reputable mito doc who is a thousand miles away, as we are in AZ. Thanks for the help, will be checking my email anxiously.
