Guest guest
I have been reading the posts of protein shakes versus protein from food. There seems to be diferent views from Fremont to SSF and Richmond. Some swear by the protein and others say the doctors don't want them to use them as nutrition. I am confused, what is everyone takes on this? Jeanne
Guest guest
Jeanne, I've not touched a protein shake at all and I made it to goal very fast. The real protein keeps you from getting hungry before time. I listened to my surgeon Dr. Baggs in Richmond. I do know people from Richmond who still use the protein shakes not as a total supplement, but as one meal or a snack, but watch your calories or it will be harder to get your weight off. I started 270 at orientation Nov. 2004, and Oct. 9th today I am down to goal. Doctor said 150, but I'm 143 and want to get to 135, so listen to all and make what works for you. Best of luck and congratulations. Donnatopazmisskitty wrote: I have been reading the posts of protein shakes versus protein from food.
