Guest guest
same thing happened to me about a week and a half ago. I cooked up some chicken soup, and cut out the nut flour for a few days while I ate the soup, burgers, steak, fish, butternut squash, and cooked carrots (not mushed up). This was sudden too... I was feling better than ever one day and then woke up and I was back to bloody mess. Don't know where it came from but I could tell because I woke up and my stomach hurt. Now i'm back to being fine, so I wouldn't freak out about it. I ended up eating nut flours every once in a while in that week and a half but I cut them back severely. I think in 2 weeks you should be fine since it seems we are walking the same path here. Hopefully this is the last of these flares.... they can be discouraging! -UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 7 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 5 pills a day To: BTVC-SCD From: smdsmom2008@...Date: Mon, 21 Dec 2009 12:58:28 +0000Subject: back to intro I woke up this morning with some urgency and gas. I'm going back to intro for a few days. BTVC says chicken soup, but can I also have beef bone soup? I started cooking some yesterday.I realized that today I have completed 8 months of SCD- going into month 9. Don't know if I ate something, or the business of the season, or the 9 month flare. The only thing that was different this past week was that I cooked a batch of yogurt too long by accident, and had recently started adding a little raw pineapple and melon- which I plan to stop.Any advice is appreciated.PJ Hotmail: Trusted email with Microsoft’s powerful SPAM protection. Guest guest
Thanks , I started cooking beef bone soup yesterday and I'm off to the store to get some chicken for soup. I hope this is the final " battle " for both of us. PJ > > > same thing happened to me about a week and a half ago. Guest guest
Thanks Marilyn, That was probably the raw fruit. It was fine for a while, but if I was not completely digesting it, it might have been the problem. PJ > >I'm going back to intro for a few days. Beef is fine though. Or one thing I like to do is make meatballs from either ground chicken or beef and add them to the soup. Mara

Guest guest
I also used alot of coconut flour and cooked everything in coconut oil when I wasn't doing so great.... dunno if that has anything to do with it, but it makes things taste good The coconut flour would be a lot more problematic thanthe coconut oil, which is okay on intro, if you tolerate it. Guest guest
I think the coconut oil is OK, but the flour is harder on the gut. Guest guest
Coconut oil is rich in medium chain fatty acids which are extremely easy to digest.
