Guest guest
After some differences in attitude and philosophy, I'm bailing out of the OSSG list. I know you're asking: Martha, What did you say/do this time!? Hahahaha...Well, some gal wrote that her labs were outta wack and she wasn't losing weight and oh by the way, she wasn't eating right either. She posted her labs in the email, with the normal reference ranges, and her results were all normal! She got a handful of emails telling her to take more iron, more calcium, etc. etc...so I wrote saying that her labs were all within normal limits and that maybe just MAYBE the real problem was that she wasn't eating right (as she had mentioned). I explained the program that I was taught at KSSF making sure to say that this was just what worked for me, and not nec. for everyone. Someone wrote back that I hadn't included protein shakes. So then I wrote back saying that I didn't drink them because I was told not to unless I was sick or couldn't get enough protein and that sometimes people can live without them...I also said I'd observed that people on that list had a lot of high-calorie recipes for protein shakes that sounded like milkshake fixes to me. WELL. You can't imagine the hostile emails I got! Meanwhile the list conversation was about (a) cute kitties, ( how much extra food people were eating giggle giggle, © being alone, and (d) recipes for sugar-free pumpkin pie, fudge, and other crap. Apparently they don't need a know-it-all RN with attitude. So, to quote Pam Marsh, F--k 'em! Hahaha Martha
