Thank you for sharing that Bumble Bee Solid White Albacore is legal.  I love this list, so useful!Do we have a list of legal brand name foods that people have gotten written letters re ingredients?  If not, I think the time is right to start such a list.

On another note - I started a blog recently to help others as I learn about this diet because: - it's not easy to adopt - it's a lot to take in at the start  - and mostly because it took me so long to find out the right way to do it.

You can find it here (http://simplescd.wordpress.com/) and if anyone has thoughts/ideas to contribute to the site (see below for my focus of the site) I'd love to hear them or, better yet, incorporate guest posts (it's easy, email me).

----About The Site: " This website is dedicated to being a useful resource for followers of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.

There are a lot of sites with loads of great, extended readings and delicious, inspiring recipes.  That is not this site.

The site is dedicated to be a resource for time saving tips, to

easy-to-make recipes, to great resources, in short – to making your

life more manageable while you heal yourself through the Specific

Carbohydrate Diet.  Taking on this diet will require a change of

lifestyle, the information you will find here will make that commitment

to health more practical. " ~

More people would prefer to talk about getting letters and how nice it

would be to have such letters than actually do it -- myself, I fear,

included.

It's really helpful to READ Breaking the Vicious Cycle, because,

funnily enough, Elaine tells you things like " canned fish packed in

olive oil or water with no added illegals IS legal... "

I was just thinking last night that maybe our group New Year's

Resolution should be that we will start writing those letters to the

various companies! I am sure if each of us just writes one or two, we

should have a pretty good collection fairly soon. OK, I know who I

am going to write.

Is there a form/template letter already written & posted that we can use?  Or does someone have one they used in the past they they can share?I'd be down to help create one if not as long as I can get support on edits (I'm new to the diet - 1 month).  That might be a great aid to get more products verified.

Plus we can create a list of products needed to verify that we can work on together.
