I think everyone is different in how they deal with the surgery and pin afterward. I will say that I needed my D/H there the day after, but he didn't get there until noon, and I managed. I went home from the hospital the following day as I was feeling great so I would not have needed a nurse with me. A lot of people are in for longer and need someone. I guess it would be good to have them lined up and you could always cancel if you feel you don't need them. (that is my motto......Better to have it and not need it Then need it and not have it).....My D/H was also home with me the first week after surgery because I have a fifteen month old Baby I had to take care of. If I didn't have the baby I probably could have managed alone but it is good to have someone around, to keep you company and wait on you hand and foot...

lol Make sure you go and get the large palm fronds so you can be fanned at whim.

hmmmmmmmm.......should we add palm fronds to the ds database list for

things to have at home after surgery????

Wow great advice on two counts. Better to have nurses lined up in

case I need them. And, lets face it, someone to fan me shouldn't be

a special occasion deal. I like pealed grapes too.
