Guest guest
Someone on one of the Crohn's forums (non-SCD) told me drinking 1 c. of pom juice mixed with raspberry juice has helped her with anemia. She was getting transfused and.or iron shots every 3 months approximately. THe doctor's office told her to try it (actually the nurses, staff I think). Thought I'd pass it on. Is there a legal raspberry juice or you just buy them frozen and strain the juice? Just Juice is legal for pom (sorry, I'm not attempting to spell that at 530a today ;-)). Sounds pricey unless it keeps you out of the ER. Debbie 40 cd

Supplemental iron feeds the bad bacteria, and you don't want that. -- Cheers, DF in MA UC June '07 SCD Nov '
Guest guest
Problem is that if it doesn't stay above transfusion level (8) then the doctors are always going to send me to get blood or iron pills or something. That's why I have to find every way possible to keep it up and to stay out of the ER. Thanks and Happy New Year! >> Someone on one of the Crohn's forums (non-SCD) told me drinking 1 c. of pom juice mixed with raspberry juice has helped her with anemia.
