So there ya go, different strokes for different folks! What is nasty for some isn't for others. Try stuff till you are happy! Did your tastes change after surgery? Some people do. Randy didn't at all. Once he was over the infection, rash, allergic reaction to meds, and fever, he did great. He has lost a little more than 60 pounds since August. It has slowed down a little, but he feels great. His labs were great except that his potassium is low. Did anyone ever have to deal with that? Our primary doc is out of town until november, so I called UCLA and they said he would have to eat a "mile" of bananas and to stay away from apples and oranges because it's too soon after surgery and he could get an ulcer. They also said the pills are too big and that the liquid and powder are awful tasting. Any suggestions? Randy is doing great otherwise, we go out to dinner every night and he eats about 1/3 of a chicken taco or soup or an egg usually and it feels great to have our friends compliment him on his new look. Take care and have a super day!!!! Hugs! Sue
