I am so glad you’re doctors are on

top of the BP, I do think that her docs probably thought that because she was

young she would be OK.

A good thing to be aware of, thanks for

sharing your story with us, too.

stroke info

Yeah, my BP has been up since on high doses of

steroids. My doctors

told me to get a home blood pressure machine, which I use regularly.

They have had to put me on a mild medication to help control the BP.

It's a real risk. It's too bad some doctors treat young patients as if

they are unharmable. Meds are helpful but dangerous. We have been

struggling to get off steroids for at least 3 years now. They think

the steroids are hurting me more than the NS. But what can you do?

It's a balancing act for sure.

Not just the IV steroids as I am sure many would tell you here. The pill form of steroids can run your blood pressure through the roof. I already was on medication that should have helped control the bp, but the pred overrode the meds and they had to start a second medication to bring my pressure under control. Steroids are a trip....ConnieMarla Bramer wrote: I am so glad you’re doctors are on top of the BP, I do think that her docs probably thought that because she was young she would be OK. Thank

Connie, yea even taking them orally will do it. I have no problems with my BP

but my HR is always in the 100s, ever since I was on oral prednisone, and never

went back down.
