Guest guest
I am pre-op and taking Xenical. The oozing orange oil sound similar to what I experience passing oil through because of the Xenical - always orange, always oily. K.

It's more than a leak when propelled by gas. I stay away from high fat food, too, but just think: egg yolks, nuts, pie crusts, most meats, cheese, sausages and other foods that don't look fatty do indeed contain fat. Nuts, for example contain ~80% fat. Many prepared foods (e.g., frozen meals) have significant fat content. I am only 6 weeks out, but I have been leaking/spraying right along--a mini-OPEC. To the point that I have been using Maxi-pads, strategically positioned, to protect my under- and outer-wear. Heck, if Mel can wear panty hose... Yeah, I know; I'm no Mel (...YET!). I also wonder, with this rapid weight loss, if any of the fat stored in our cells is discharged as oil in the stool rather than being metabolized. My formal training, years ago, tells me " no, " but I still wonder. Also, I am still taking Lipitor, which interferes with cholesterol production in the liver, and I wonder if that is somehow adding to the regular oil slick that I leave behind. YMMV, --Steve --
Guest guest
Yes it is exactly the same thing. Not all post-ops experience this. I took Xenical as a pre-op and I had terrible oil slicks as a post- op. I had the oil problem worse on the Xenical. The oil problem post-op is not a constant thing it comes and goes as I eat different foods, and it does not leak to the degree I had on Xenical. > I am pre-op and taking Xenical. Guest guest
Lenny: This does happen. Not pleasant but it's one of the short term side effects. When it happened to me (a couple of times) I thought that it would ruin my life as I knew it. But it stopped. Now I expected (and got) it when I ate pepperoni pizza the night home from the hospital. But I got a couple of times when I didn't think I deserved it. But not in the past few months. Time will cure the problem. Regards. Guest guest
Always is an excellent choice ... especially the long ones or the overnights. Guest guest
I agree, the always with wings does a good job of protecting, and they have a special liner so they keep you feeling drier. Also the Ultra Thin ones are very comfortable and are made with the stuff that absorbs , like the thin baby diapers. If you went swimminmg with it it would swell up, but for everyday use they are very comfortable, have good sticky tape so they stay in place ect.
