Not sure. She does have other disautonomy issues. She gets the

breathlessness mostly when ill and her heart rate will go up to close to 200

bpm regularly when ill. Her normal heart rate is very high as well (140-180

quite frequently with little exertion). The coughing/vomiting began after

she started to become active about three months ago. Before that time she

just sat around all the time. It is bothersome as before steroids (spring

of 2003) she did the same thing without the vomiting (lots of coughing, loud

breathing, grunting while just walking around; and this was when she was

skinny) and then the steroids seemed to make all the symptoms disappear.

But now that we are lowering the dosage, the symptoms are returning plus

vomiting added to the mix. She became very fatigued and mostly sad most of

last fall, winter, and the spring this year, but now she has TONS of energy.

Its wonderful yet causing problems. The docs are wondering if her lungs

aren't up to par enough to handle the increased activity after such a long

time sitting around.
