Guest guest
I love to read cookbooks and the one I was just reading with my tea break had an interesting sounding recipe. A little late for this Christmas but it sounds good to me for next year: from Better Homes and Gardens " Heritage Cookbook " , 1975, page 78 CRANLILLI 1 cup fresh cranberries 1 medium onion, quartered 1 medium green pepper, quartered 1/2 cup sugar -- use honey, of course, maybe not as much 1/2 cup vinegar 3/4 teaspoon salt (or less) Put cranberries, onion, and green pepper through the coarse blade of a food grinder. (I think you could use a food processor just as well.) In a saucepan combine cranberry mixture, honey, vinegar and salt. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Uncover and simmer for 10 minutes more. Chill. Serve as accompaniment for meat or poultry. Makes 1-1/3 cups.
