, 57 pounds is great. I know presurgery, there

is not too much talk about plateaus during your first

6 months or so but it happens. I was telling someone

the other day via email on here that when I reached

six months, I would not lose anything for 2.5 to 3

weeks and then I would loose 7 pounds or so. Just

don't let it get you down and the weight will come off

just at a slower rate. You will be losing inches

though so keep that in mind. Congrats and keep on

keeping on.

,

Just FYI...Back in the old days when I was a new postop, my mentors

defined a plateau as 6 weeks at the same weight. Lots of people say

that if you take your measurements during this time, you'll see shifts

those, indicating that your body's shape and/or muscle mass is

distributing itself in a new way.

Meanwhile, just stick to the basics and I guarantee you'll start

losing again. Don't get discouraged and don't let this tempt you into

eating things that are not " pouch-friendly " . Don't drop the exercise,

and keep drinking your water.

Hi , congrats at the 57lbs., when was your surgery? I just had my surgery

on 10/12 and I'm down 13lbs. which just amazes me. My surgeon called last night

to check inwith me (Dr. Umbach/So.S.F.) I told him about the 13lbs. and he told

me to stay off the scale until I see him on the 25th. I promised him I would.

Can't wait to get these staples out.

Just a little goes a logn way. Try up your exercise by just 10 minutes a day and see if that helps!
