So has a habit of running frightningly high fevers.

today he got up from his nap at 106... 3 weeks ago it was 105, in

june it was 106.9... along with these fevers he has NO other

symptoms and usually doesnt seem that sick... aside from being a bit

grumpy, and clingy, he is still playing/eating/drinking....

is this a common occurence with mito? I will be bringing it up when

we see the specialist in Sept...

I used to run him to the doc if it was over 103, but now i would be

taking him every other week, and nothing is ever 'wrong' with him

when i do...

Grace will do this when she is overheated. She does have severe heat intolerance due to dystautonomia. For her, though, she is very lethargic when it gets high. Even if he is eating and drinking, I would be watching him very closely for dehydration. The last time Grace got very high (106+) she was actually having a heat stroke, from being outside for only 20 min, in 85 (or so, I forgot) degree weather (playing with the garden hose). It landed her 3 days in the hospital, so it can get very serious. Has he been outside? Heat intolerance is very common with mito. If he has not been overheated, it may be a dystautonomia thing anyway and should be brought up with the doc.

Well he hasnt been outside, and even if he was, it was only 65

degrees today, so i cant imagine heat stroke... but i have noticed

that he doesnt tolerate the heat that well at all.

I have been watching him for dehydration, and so far hes peeing lots

and still drinking, so im hoping it holds! the only time hes ever

gotten dehydrated was when we were in hospital, and he was throwing

up EVERYTHING and couldnt even keep water down... they had him on IV

for 3 days and still had trouble keeping him hydrated!

so i know what to watch for...

his temp is down wiht motrin and tylenol to 103, so im hoping it

stays down!
