It actually looked like a tiny version of a blood clot you get during your

period. It was dark and there didn't seem to be any other blood. I am not having

any cramps, but am totally stressed out. I am 8 weeks pregnant.

Do I need to call my doctor, or just chill out??

TIA

Often while pg... we can be a bit more " slick " and leftover little clots or

" dots " as I call those little ickies sorta slide right out.

As the resident worry wart and queen of panic... I would say... don't worry

about it.

If you start to spot...call your Dr... always safe then sorry I say.

But.. if you are like me.. you have prolly already been to the bathroom at

least 20 times since you started this email.. just to check??

( I know.. I would be.. LOL)

Hi Ro, I had something like that for 2 weeks with this last pregnancy and it

totally freaked me out, mine was with a brownish discharge though. It was like

a micro balckish squiggly thin thing, I cannot even describe them but I had

it for awhile and even went to the docs who could see them in the exam and told

me that it was common and they had no cause for it gbut for me to relax. I

hope yours is okay too.

God Bless, Robin

Shirley:

They are actually the same thing.

Below please find the law, the Dietary Health Supplement Education Act of

1194, called DSHEA that the government applies

Dietary supplements (also called nutritional supplements, or supplements for

short) were defined in a law passed by Congress in 1994 (see the box

below).1, 2

Dietary Supplements...

a.. Are taken by mouth.

b.. Contain a " dietary ingredient " intended to supplement the diet.

Examples of dietary ingredients include vitamins, minerals, herbs* (as

single herbs or mixtures), other botanicals, amino acids, and dietary

substances such as enzymes and glandulars.

c.. Come in different forms, such as tablets, capsules, softgels,

gelcaps, liquids, and powders.

d.. Are not represented for use as a conventional food or as a sole

item of a meal or the diet.

e.. Are labeled as being a dietary supplement.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any others please feel free

to ask.
