Guest guest
Thank you, I did! She had another stent put into the main pancreatic duct. She was still not keeping much down, but they sent her home today. She called me this evening because she hasn't been able to void (she had a catheter for about a week). She'd tried all the usual stuff, running water, etc. I told her to send her boyfriend to the drugstore for some Oil of Wintergreen. I don't how it works, but we have used it for our postpartum moms who can't pee. Just put a little on a cotton ball & hold it under their nose and most of them have success. If that doesn't work, she's going to have to go into the E.R., which she doesn't want to do, but with a possible major snow storm coming in, I told her she sure doesn't want to be snowed in with a distended bladder. She's stubborn & afraid that if she goes to E.R. they'll admit her again. What can a mother do? The usual, I guess. Nag & pray. Guest guest
Nag & pray. Rose, Isn’t that what Mothers are suppose to do! I have decided more prayer than nagging is helpful, but you just have to nag once in awhile or you’re not a mother, I hope your daughter doesn’t have to go to the ER either, so I will say a prayer for her. Take care. Guest guest
Thanks, Marla. Unfortunely, Ginny did have to go to the E.R. & they sent her back down to Indy. But she was released today & sounded a little stronger. Have you ever listened to Garrison Keillor of Prairie Home Companion? He's a wonderful storyteller. One of his tales involved a grown son who had difficulty adjusting to adult life. Garrison referred to him as a "spasm" child--simply pray and send money! That cracked me up.
