Promoting other sites, groups

Many times we find ourself looking thru the internet for options for treatment, and articles to learn and educate ourself about our disease.

It is important to point out that we are a support group, and none of us have medical degrees. We do have a few RN's as members, and they do help with decifering the medical terminology. However, we can only suggest, and it is important that each of us runs the ideas by our MD's before taking action.

We do supply some LINKS to articles written by MD's and on occasion we do send you information on a specific site that may be of help.

It is imperative that the group not be used to solicite any other support groups, and if someone wants to contact you personally-- then your email address shows up on every email along with the group address.

We develop some incredible friendships with this group, and all of us may connect with someone that becomes a close personal friend.

The purpose of the group is to communicate with a larger audience, and in that forum, more information and experiences are shared. We learn from each other.

With that in mind, we ask that until you establish with the group-- and we get to know you, and you know us--- that you refrain from having others contact you privately.

We can best handle the correctness of information that is shared, and by doing so, we can hopefully make it so that no one is made sicker by misinformation.

All of the info shared here in the support enviroment is from well researched information.

Please remember that soliciting the list, our members or marketing via the Yahoogroups Rules of Conduct-- that you could jeopardize the group as a whole. It is a serious violation of the Rules.
