Guest guest
You can make the trial and error approach very methodical and scientific [grin]. That is what I do. I am a very intuitive person, not at all scientific, but when it comes to figuring out what works for my digestion, and my other body systems that tend to react too, I have to be methodical in my experimenting or I'd go crazy with frustration. SCD contains a lot of science, and there is a lot of technical and scientific information on digestion and nutrition in the medical literature. I find research helpful to understand better what is going on so it is easier for me to deduce what food will work and what probably won't. Then I test things and pay close attention to how my body behaves. There are a lot of subtle signals that pre-SCD I rarely paid attention to -- now I do. So I use a combination of research and experimentation. In the end, that is all we can do because no one solution or food list fits all of us. Kim M.
