Guest guest
I have gotten so much information from members of the group. I'm very grateful for the tips from people who have been there. Dr. Marcus was the first surgeon I talked to about the BPD/DS, but his telling me he didn't do the lap made me look into Mt. Sinai for the first time. He was very nice to me, though, taking more time than I expected to answer all my questions. I will call him tomorrow to find out whether he will follow me post-op. My PCP is great, but I think she would welcome some support herself, since she has limited experience with BPD/DS. As for the KareMor spray vitamin site, it's . I will ask the next time I talk to her. I know Dr. Gagner recommends children's chewables and ADEKS at first, but I'm hoping that the spray could substitute for at least some of the many daily pills we have to take later on. The idea sounds almost too good to be true, so I will call them and report back about what's in the multivitamins and the prenatals, and whether they meet some or all of the RDA's. I'm still wondering whether I have to ask for an aide in advance or if it can be arranged at the time I am admitted to the hospital. It sounds like it would really be good for at least the first day to take some of the " weight " off my sister and sons. I find out about insurance coverage on Friday (I hope). I'm really nervous.
