Guest guest
This can happen for many reasons. First if you do have decreased saliva you are more prone to caries and gingivitis, due to increased plaque. Also if you are getting some recession of your gums, from either age or gingivitis, the teeth very commonly get sensitive. I would suggest calling your dentist and having them take a look, they may want you to have cleanings every 3 months instead of 6. It is probably nothing too serious, but it is better to catch any problem like this early, while it is easier to treat. You can get artificial saliva, it is like a clear jell, to help if the dry mouth is really annoying. Also Sensodyne is very affective in helping with sensitive teeth. FWIW I do not know all this from any mito experience, I worked in the dental field for many years before staying home with the kids. Best wishes, hope you can enjoy some ice cream really soon. Guest guest
Does anyone notice that there teeth are sensitive to the cold? It just happened to me all of the sudden. I have had decreased saliva lately and now I cannot tolerate anything cold. It hurts like crazy. Just another weird entity! Dawn
