Guest guest
Well I think I found a good neurologist right here in my own town, yea!! I saw one last week and liked him, he ordered an MRI I haven’t had one in years, it came back neg. except for a chronic sinus infection, didn’t know I had? Anyway he said just because it’s neg. doesn’t mean I don’t have NS, he believes I do, I show more neruo deficits on the left side, so he’s sure I probably have some granulomas that are just too small to see and they are causing the problems, he wanted to make sure I didn’t have MS or a tumor, he also said I should be on as high of immune suppressants as my body can take without problems, and that I will be treating this disease forever there is no cure, all of which I knew. So now it’s on to the ENT to get the sinus under control! I least I finally found someone to listen to me, he said he knows I have Sarcoid, (bx), and neuro deficits so he doesn’t need a bunch of tests done, as they generally come back neg anyway! Funny how that makes me feel better, I wish the same to everyone here a doc that will listen to you, and go by his/her assessment without all the hype! Blessings to all, Marla Marla Bramer " Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible "
Guest guest
Marla, I'm so glad that you've found someone who will take you seriously. I know I don't need to tell you this-- that yes, although we don't have a cure, we can significantly slow the progression with the right combinations of imunosuppressants. I do hope that he will prescribe the immunosupressants for you, and follow you closely. We have to just keep climbing the mountain- one step at a time!
