Guest guest
Larry; I don't believe that Dr. Hess' 10 year study is considered merely anecdotal, but I may be mistaken about that. I do know that his study is the first long term post-surgery study. As far as the difference in weight loss goes, that's pretty much common knowledge. I saw a total of three surgeons in making my selection and they all consistently quote the same figures for expected weight loss. With the R-n-y the expected weight loss is about 65%; with the DS the average weight loss is 85%. Since all three surgeons were consistent with the figures available on the internet, one can infer that the figures on the internet are correct or else there is a unified conspiracy among Bariatric Surgeons to give mis-information. ;~} Good Luck with your decision-making. gobo DS/Sched. 7/9/01 Dr. BMI 55 > Thanks for the info.
