what my moms RNY Doc told me......

Get this......My mom wanted to have the DS but can't go out of

network and just doesn't want to fight it. So she decided to have

the RNY here in Pittsburgh. I went with her to the appointment and

nicely told the surgeon that I had a DS and love it.....he told me

that he went to the Bariatric conference down in DC and the surgeons

that are doing the DS are trying to phase it out.....what a bunch of

Bullsh*t.....I almost started to laugh but bit my tongue....I

politely told him that I think the DS is going to be the more common

surgery years from now....Just wanted to share this with you guys.

Bobbi-jo,

I think you should call Dr. E and ask him if it's true..don't think

it's true myself..but why not. You have the Dr's name that told you

that...so go for it.

Geez, and people wonder why I say that some of the RNY docs are

hacks!
