Guest guest
Hi all; Last time I posted I had just enjoyed another wonderful encounter with my GP who decided in his great wisdom that I was physically perfect but completely screwed in the head! Fortunatly before that meeting I had contacted the neurologist who originally diagnosed me in 95 or 6, and got together with him last week. Funnily enough he was rather, er, ah, miffed at my GP when he discovered through the very polite and obscure references Liz and I made to his idiocy that the clown wasn't doing anything to get the sarc under control. Through an exam he reaffirmed his diagnosis, (something I was worried about after talking with the other dufus), and said that he wants to send me to a rheumotologist that is good with neurosarc. (Darn, and I spent all those months looking for someone in my area with no success), so I see her next Friday and am very much looking forward to hearing what she has to say. Needles to say, we are very relieved, just when we were about to give up something decent happens and we have hope once again! Just goes to show how much damage a bad doctor can really do, don't these guys still take that oath, what was the name? Hipocrites oath????????? Guest guest
Stu, isn't it wonderful when a doctor does his job? And ain't it a shame that we have to celebrate this rare occurrence? I do think it's just as important to share the good experiences we have with doctors & other health care providers as it is to share the goober encounters. There are good docs out there; some will admit their lack of knowledge & be open to learning. I feel like I've spent the last few years training my local neuro, but he was open-minded. I was only the second NS patient he'd had, but I give him credit for immediately thinking of NS after a variety of other docs had kept telling me all my symptoms were from viruses. Where are you guys located? Are your doctors nearby? Good luck with the rheumy! Ramblin' Rose Moderator Reply-To: Neurosarcoidosis To: neurosarcoidosis Subject: Finally!!!! Guest guest
Wow, a couple of 'good' doc reports in a week's time. Maybe there will be hope for the rest of us, too. one can only hope and pray. Do these docs all go to the same schools...why are they all so different? I can't help but be happy and a little jealous at the same time. ...lol. I pray they continue to be helpful and listening, caring docs. hugs S. lizzyandstu wrote: Hi all;Last time I posted I had just enjoyed another wonderful encounter withmy GP who decided in his great wisdom that I was physically perfectbut completely screwed in the head!
