Guest guest
I know this had been discussed many times, but I just got the instructions for the prep and want to know if it is legal and what to flavor it with... 238 gm bottle or miralax powder 4 ducolax tablets (laxative) At 12:00 n00n the day before take the 4 tablets, then 1 hour later start drinking. mix all miralax in 64 oz. water, drink 4-8 oz. every 20 minutes How has this worked for people -- it is supposed to be easier... Thanks! Judy
Guest guest
I had the same prep instructions. I didn't flavor the Miralax with anything, just used water. Personally, I found it to be my easiest prep ever. The only problem I had was a little pain because the large volume of liquid got backed up behind my stricture (the prep was for surgery to remove said stricture). I drank apple cider, grape juice jello, and tea with honey on prep day as well. Good luck! Guest guest
Hi Holly -- thanks for the reply -- how did the miralax taste and was 64 oz alot? And did you use white grape juice -- they say nothing dark or red... they also say clear broth so Ithnk Iwill use clear chicken broth the day before... Guest guest
Hi Judy :-) Miralax really doesn't have a taste, if I recall correctly. 64 oz sounds like a lot, but consider that that's half of what you drink with the other preps (they're generally 128 ounces). It's really not too bad. My last prep instructions said I could drink things like cranberry juice and grape juice because the color was natural. They said to avoid the red/blue/purple in artificially colored products like gatorade, store bought jello, etc (not that us SCDers use those anyway). I'm sure there are those that disagree and think you should avoid all red/purple colors, but since I was given the okay, I used purple grape juice to make my jello. Guest guest
I've been told that miralax has no taste at all if you mix it in a hot drink.... and only a slight taste in cold drinks. I don't have a bottle of miralax at home to double check... but I thought it said something to that effect on the bottle (or maybe it was the insert). ...· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- Good luck.. hope the prep and procedures go well for you ¸.·´ .·´¨¨))((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:--:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*

Holly They told me the same thing as HOlly and I made quite a bit of purple grape juice jello. And it was fine. He said I was squeaky clean looking. I think it is just the dyes.
