Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to this group and really love the sense of humor that's so rich with all of you! I recently learned I am pan-hypopituitary.....after going to 2 Mayo Clinics, a major Pituitary Center, then finally found the " Dr House " of endocrinology in Los Angeles....I live in Indianapolis.... The neurosurgeon who reviewed my pituitary MRI said it's a lesion not an adenoma and that it is evidence of an underlying systemic illness, most likely sarcoidosis. I'm fortunate as we have a couple of sarcoid specialists here at our IU Med center. I'm currently being worked up thoroughly as I do have so many of the symptoms, I anticipate being diagnosised with sarcoid. Has anyone had this happen to their pituitary AND did having pit surgery to remove the lesion help at all? Thanks so much!!

Guest guest
Rose, That's amazing that we live so close to each other!! The world is a much smaller place when you can find people over the internet. I am seeing Dr Wolf at the Sarcoidosis Center at the IU Med Center. She's the best doctor I've ever worked with and I've been to 2 different Mayo Clinics, a major Pituitary Center and Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles!!! A BIG sample size. She's very through and has actually called me back to go over blood test results before my next apt......called me on her way home when I left a message with her AA,.....there was some confusion so she gave me her email address to send the question to her.....to which she responded before 8:00 am the next morning. All the other people I've seen for testing, etc. at the Med Center just speak nothing but good things about her and how personal she is with her patients. If you need a good sarcoid doc I HIGHLY recommend her. My next apt is next Thursday and I'm on pins and needles to get some results and hopefully start making some progress!! My greatest fear is having another apt where the doc says, " well everything seems to be in range, can't find anything wrong with you.... Hope they have great news when you go back..Conniegeistgina wrote: Rose,That's amazing that we live so close to each other!!
