Hi guys-

Can anyone tell me if we start on the ADEK's immediately post-op? If so, did you order yours before you left to have your surgery? If you bought them through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, were you forthright with them about not being a CF patient?

Your input is most appreciated!

I did not order the Adeks before the surgery, only after I got home.

But it wouldn't hurt at all to order them in advance. You'll need a

prescription from Dr. Pomp that you can either fax to the CF or mail

in. I was honest, told them I had malabsorption due to the DS

surgery. Was absolutely no problem. I now get a refill every 3 mos

that I just call in.

Best of luck with your upcoming surgery.

Hi ,

I did order my ADEK's before the surgery. However, Dr Baltasar told

me to start them one month after surgery. I have had no problems

with them at all except they taste kind of gross (like baby aspirin)!

Best of luck,
