Holly and LDN

Hey Holly,

Absolutely, some people go through fatigue in the begining and can experience

body aches that is why some have to be careful not to push too much and go on

the dosage to fast.

Why don't you share your exact LDN increase schedule with us?

Also, are you using the cream?

Have you joined the LDN group?

That will make you feel like crap. The best was is to cut the dose down slowly

and gradually over weeks-months. If you did have to stop, this would explain

your symptoms, and not be due to LDN.

you a prescription until your doc gets back. It is really best not to stop cold

turkey. I hope you can get a hold of some as you will feel better if you don't

stop this way.

I went from 3 mg to 4.5 mg cream and I have had more sleep issues and crazy

dreams at 4.5 mg. I feel fine during the day. Is the sleep issue temporary or

should I go slower? I've been on 4.5 mg for a month now (cream) so I'm thinking

just hang in there at this point.

PJ-

I had the same thing..

Just hang there a bit like a couple of weeks if you can (even a bit more) You

can always lower the dosage..

But I found it amazing what 4.5 did for my bowel.

Do you drink coffee?

Get rid of the coffee. Helps while on LDN. Bummer I know but a good nights

sleep is way better. Play with the times you consume caffeine or anything

stimulating.

I have noticed a big difference at this dose of LDN. The sleep issue is more

annoying than anything else. I wake up but go back to sleep.

I don't drink coffee but did add some black/green tea lately. I will cut them

out. Thanks,

You can go back down to 4.0 on LDN and see if that works better for you.

Holly, I started LDN at 1.0. Had sleep issues for a week, was a

zombie. Then that suddenly was fine. I am sleeping better, and more

aware of more dreams (not lurid, just more). After a month or so I

increased to 1.5 with no trouble. Another month and I tried to

increase to 2.0 and whammo, even increasing by 0.125 at a time for a

few days each, I couldn't hack it. I'm back to 1.5 and am going to

address possible candida issues now before I increase again. Even on

this low dose I have definite improvements! I figure what's the

hurry, why have something else (like lack of sleep) to fight when low

and slow works, too.

For several months when I started LDN (went from 3.5 to 4.5 mg in about

two weeks) I would wake up at about 2 or 3 a.m. when the opioid blockade

wore off and my endorphins kicked in and I would be awake often for

several hours. That was difficult while it lasted, but it gradually

subsided. I've now been on LDN almost a year. But a few months ago I cut

back to 4 mg instead of 4.5 because it works better for me, actually

(after adjusting to the change), and I think my liver functions better on

4 mg.

My LDN increase went thusly:

Dec 27: 1.5 mg

28: 2 mg

30: 2.5 mg

Jan 1: 3 mg

2: 3.5 mg

3: 4 mg

I went quickly since I didn't suffer any insomnia or pains (other then a

headache on the back left side of my skull, but that's been going on for a

couple of months). I've always had wild dreams, and don't think they're any

different with LDN. The only side effect is this big time fatigue! I hope it's

short lived. I can't wait for the endorphins to hit :-)

Oh, and I mix up my own LDN. I couldn't get anyone to prescribe it, so ordered

the 50 mg pills from India.

Holly,

at your weight, you should not increase dosage and maybe consider

going back down to 3.5 or 3.

Don't you weigh like 105 or something.

I weigh somewhere between 100 and 105 (it's been awhile since I stepped on a

scale).

I dropped back down to 3.5 mg last night. We'll see if that helps the fatigue.

The only other odd thing that's happened since starting LDN is a ruptured blood

vessel in my eye. I've never had anything like that happen before. My mom

noticed it when I got up this morning. Thankfully, most of it is hidden by my

eyelid. Otherwise I would look hideous!

For the other LDNers, how long did it take before you felt an energy kick?

Thanks everyone!

This happened to me too. I just got over a ruptured blood vessel in my eye last

week. I looked like enstein. It healed quickly thankfully.

I wonder if this is a side effect but I have not seen this.

I am sleeping better on 3.6 mg.

Well that's a freaky little coincedence! Glad to hear it goes away quickly,

because it is UGLY!

Glad to hear you're doing better! I'm still suffering awful fatigue (I slept 16

hours yesterday). I dropped down to 3 mg to see if that helps wake me up.

Holly,

If I were you, I would go on the yahoo LDN list and mention

your fatigue and what you are doing and ask there if anyone

has suggestions. There are some very knowledgeable

people there with longer experience.
