Thank you Donna

I sit here weeping. I keep trying to think of everythng Dr. Hahn spoke with me about and I am coming up a blur. Guess because the time is near. But I am trying to focus. I just hope that I don't weigh a pound over my goal or they will bump me. When people have complications is it because they go into the surgery with other problems and when they have problems after the surgery is it because they have been pushing the limit with what they eat?

Patrice,

This is so normal, our emotions can change from day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute. I thought I would have a handle on this because I've had a total of 14 surgeries and procedures so far in my life, and the emotions still do all the jumping from one to another and the fear. We're all hear for you, let us know how your feeling and we will try to help with our words. Congratulations on your surgery date, we'll be looking forward to when you're on the other side. Patrice,

You can do it, reread your binder for a reminder to all you've learned. We'll be here for you, I cried and I thought how will I ever be able to learn all this, but you will and with time everything just gets easier. Keep a journal it really helps especially when you get home to know how much your drinking, if you took your medicines, vitamins and if they where far enough apart, how much walking, if you've had a bowel movement. Then if you have any concerns, or when the nutritionist calls you checking when your taking vitamins, drinking enough and all you'll have it all wrote down, then she can help you if you have any problem areas. You'll be fine.

You'll be in my prayers and thoughts, please keep in touch. Donnaren2@... wrote:

Patrice,

What you are feeling is so normal. The Saturday before my surgery I was going to

call and cancel I had gotten myself in such a wreck. Someone told me if you

werent nervous I would be afraiad for you. You fully understand the changes that

are about to take place. So realize that you made a sound decision, researched

it, and are ready. Good Luck and I will be praying for you on your surgery date.

Hello,

My name is Patrice and I have been the quiet unseen one reading all the

post on this wonderful site.

I have been on this journey for awhile now and finally got a call from

Fremont that I have a surgery date of November 7th. I must say I have

been so excited until now. Can any of you tell me if it is normal to

all of a sudden feel the gamit of emotions including total fear. My

mind is spinning yet I am still excited. This is so wierd.

>Hi Patrice,

Wow, I will be having surgery the same day only in Richmond. We will

have to keep in touch. I know I have a lot of fear. I am trying to not

let it effect my work, but I jokingly told a co-worker today something

about if I die during surgery. She was horrified, and I couldn't

believe I could even joke about that, but I know it is on my mind.

There certainly are a lot of emotions.

Pam E.,

I know it's hard and if you didn't think about what if I died you wouldn't be normal. I thought about it to much since I did almost die with a surgery before, and I did fine. I had Dr. Baggs at Richmond. I believe this WLS is set up so well, that if you don't have tons of medical problems things will be just fine. I had a lot and I did fine, to me this was one of the easiest surgeries I have had, and I have to many in my life. You are on my mind and in my prayers, stay strong and I can't wait until your on the other side. Donnagranela52 wrote:
