Guest guest
Speaking of supplements- or going without them.. how about Kelp as a natural source of iodine? Does anyone know if it is legal or a brand that is legal? It has lasted for over 4 weeks now. And this week has been the worst! A few weeks before my flare I added a multi-vitamin, calcium and B supplement. On the day my flare started, I had just added a probiotic (GI Pro Health Scdophilus). Could these be causing/prolonging the flare? > > > Thanks for your input (anyone!!!) > > > -Joanna > > > Crohn's 1992 > > > SCD 15 Weeks > > > > > >

You might want to look at Body Bio's liquid minerals. http://www.bodybio.com/storeproduct417.aspx I used their zinc after my surgery, when I had to be on clear liquids and I wanted the zinc to help heal. It didn't give me any issues. I think Kim M. has been experimenting with some of the others to make her own electrolyte stuff. I keep meaning to write them for a letter (I have an email, but that's not a letter) for confirmation that the liquid minerals are legal. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

Guest guest
What are the issues with seaweed? Marilyn will know for sure but I think it's another polysaccharide issue. Seaweeds are slimy, right? Most of the slimy stuff we can't have, like okra, marshmallow and stuff.
