Guest guest
Ok,,we just started Logan on the Carnitor,,he has had 3 doses,1 on Monday, and 2 on Tuesday. Is it too soon for the vomiting side effect ? He just woke up (2:20AM) and threw up. Could this be from the Carnitor ?? Ugghh,,I sure hope it isn't ! I was just about to go to bed, too. Now he is laying on the couch, watching cartoons. He isn't really complaining about anything hurting,,just nauseous. Guest guest
Kim, I am an adult, so I don't know if my input is helpful, but I have come to the conclusion that I just can't take Carnitor without MAJOR gastroinstestinal problems, even taking 1/4 of a 330 mg tablet. I have reverted back to taking L-Carnitine (by Thorne Research). Almost immeditaely there has been an improvement in my ability to eat and drink without nausea and stomach pain and the mito symptoms seem to be doing OK too. I posted last week requesting anybody who was experiencing gastrointestinal side effects from taking Carnitor to please send an e-mail to SigmaTau Pharmaceuticals answering specific questions, because they were unaware that many of us were having problems with it. They are in the process of developing an additional formula and are welcoming input. I am so disappointed that nobody has seemed to jump on the opportunity to make a difference, though I have read of many who experience problems with the Carnitor. Sure hope that Logan just maybe has the flu instead of a reaction. Best Wishes, Anita > > Ok,,we just started Logan on the Carnitor,,he has had 3 doses,1 on Monday, and 2 on Tuesday.
