Guest guest
I got the word today from Empire Blue Cross. I've been approved for surgery on July 24 with Dr. Gagner, at Mt. Sinai! They called early this morning to ask me some questions about the dates I saw certain doctors and tried various drugs and weight reduction programs. I clutched all day until 4:00 pm, when they called back to tell me the good news. I'm so relieved. Now I can go out and get he things I need. I really understand how tough it is to be turned down and have to appeal. i think the key is whether the insurer thinks that the future complications of morbid obesity will cost them more in the long than the surgery! Still on the trail of Karemore spray vitamins. You have to email their chemist and wait for a response. I'm waiting! I would love to hear from anyone who will be a Mt. Sinai at the same time as I am. I think my family would be grateful for some company. My kids and sister have come a long way toward accepting my choice to have this surgery, but they're still prety spooked. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the April MSNBC video that featured Dr. Ren? I saw it at the time but the family missed it. I think it would be good for them to see it, but MSNBC Customer service seems not to know what they're there for. They never answer their voicemail. BTW, I got a sample package of vitamins and liquid protein from Vita4Life today. I tried the honey in Lipton's decaf ice spice tea. It wasn't too bad. The combination of apple, cinnamon and honey makes sense to me. I haven't had the courage to try the orange creamcicle yet; even the package insert apologizes for the taste. Doen't sound too promising, but I'm impressed with their honesty. Has anyone tried the mocha?
