Guest guest
We live in Ontario, Canada. I don't think it'scovered by the gov't but I'm definitely going toresearch into it. Who knows, maybe our rehab centremight have one. It's funny though, with all theP.T.'s, O.T.'s, respiratory techs, doctors, etc.who've been involved with us, no one's ever mentionedone of these machines- even at Sick Kids hospital inToronto. , What a bummer! I certainly hope you can find some way to fund it. We live in the US, michigan to be specific. Chelsea is on a state run ins. program and then has a supplement called Children's Special Health Care Services, run thru our local county. It picks up what her ins. does not, and, fortunatly, both have been pretty good about the heavy duty equipment. It was a school PT that told me about the cough assist, thought it would be beneficial for CHelsea with all of her respiratory issues. I was surprized none of her drs or even feeding therapist hadn't thought of this for her. I still am amazed at the difference it makes for her, her secretions aren't a constant struggle anymore. Take care! e, Chelsea's mom(nonspecific mito)
