Guest guest
Cheryl: The longest term studies are those done by Dr. Hess who sort of invented the surgery. He actually put together several procedures into a workable whole. I believe his studies go back 15 years or so. I understand he has given a newer paper but it hasn't been published yet so we have no access to it. But there is also a study by Dr. Scopalinero in Italy who did a gastric bypass which is a major part of the DS. His studies go back another 6 ot 7 years before Dr. Hess'. Both are available on the www.duodenalswitch.com site. I'm not certain exactly where but look around a bit. They aren't too hard to find there. That isn't 35 years but it's 20 or so. Regards.
