Guest guest
Hi guys, it's me again. Just wanted to update a little and ask a few questions. I checked out the Providence web site, and Dr. Emma is on the site... she's who I think I want to do my wls (D/S). SO that means, she's in the " network. " THEN, I came across this on the exclutions page... what do you think? " All services and supplies related to the treatment of obesity, unless there are complications by an organic disease such as diabetes or hypertension. " I have sleep apnea, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom, insulin resistance (which will eventually lead to diabetes),infertility, and back and knee joint pain. I do not have hypertension and do not currently have diabetes. I have, however, been to *2* nutritional counseling sessions in the past 5 years... one in Missouri, and one in Mayo. I can not get any information regarding the surgery from Providence because I've only lived in Oregon since April and I haven't been sick enough to pick out a PCP. Without a PCP, I am not " offically " in the computer and I can't call and ask questions about what they offer or exclude. So, I'm winging it until I pick a PCP. In case you didn't know about it, you can find her yahoo group at < > You might find others who've had experience with Providence over there. Amber (Dr. 's manager) can probably offer you some advice. If Dr. is in Providence's network, they obviously are aware of what they're dealing with. Good luck and see you on the OSSGDRPATTERSON group! hugs, gobo DS/Pre-op Surgery 7/9/01 Dr. BMI
Guest guest
e, I am a Providence employee, and familiar with many of the physicians in the area. What is your insurance? Maybe I can steer you toward a WLS friendly PCP. dina Info needed Hi guys, it's me again. Just wanted to update a little and ask a few questions. Guest guest
I had the exact same exclusion.. but since I'm morbidly obese instead of merely obese, I was not excluded. What's your BMI?
