Guest guest
I will try it, thanks. I was thinking of that myself this week, but had not tried it. Do they just use a triple antibiotic cream? I always have some in the house, so it can't hurt. Thanks for the tip.
Guest guest
, You have been writing lately about Grace not liking anyone touching her G-tube. We have a friend whose son is the same way. They found by putting an antibiotic on it everyday that he is now able to tolerate someone touching it. Not sure if that is the problem with Grace, but thought I would make the suggestion. Guest guest
They do use a triple antibiotic, not sure which brand. They also use the steriod cream on days that he seems even more sensitive. > I will try it, thanks. I was thinking of that myself this week, but had not > tried it. Guest guest
Could you leave the extension attached but pin it to her shirt at the other end? This would make the medicine/touching part be away from the actual site. We put a tape " flag " on the end away from his body to pin it to his shirt so it will pull the shirt first before the tummy. (he is on continious feeds). This won't help for actual pain but might desensitize as the shirt pulling on the site while she moves might accustom her to the touch. Guest guest
Just make sure that whatever you chose doesn't break down the plastic of the g-tube. Some of them weaken it.
